We have just installed a brand new headphone monitor system. It gives each performers an individual 8 channel mixer/amplifier, with which to set their own headphone mix. And turn it up as they bloody well like.. We are, needless to say, very excited!
Work is underway on the new Kid Carpet album…

Kid Carpet is back in the studio working on his new EP with Ali. As Dee Snider would (almost) say…The Kid’s Back!!! There is plotting and planning going on..
Nick Talbot and his merry men are back working on a new album.
Nearly a year and half since Oli Walker and Dan Danby wandered in here to “just record a couple of demos”..we are proud to annonuce a finished album has now left the building. After the runaway success of debut single ‘Just for Roosevelt’, we felt obliged to get our act together and finish the bastard off.
What wasn’t originally intended to be an album at all, has slowly morphed into one, over a dozen or so separate sessions..with long breaks in between.
Just about everyone who frequents Toybox has contributed to/ played on this record at some point down the line, so it’s become a sort of sporadic snapshot of the last 18 months..as well as a labour of much love.
It looks like it’s going to go out on Manchester label Skinny Dog Records, run by Elbow mainman Guy Garvey who apparently loves this band to death.
