Mississippi Witch Record finally completed

Nearly a year and half since Oli Walker and Dan Danby wandered in here to “just record a couple of demos”..we are proud to annonuce a finished album has now left the building. After the runaway success of debut single ‘Just for Roosevelt’, we felt obliged to get our act together and finish the bastard off.

What wasn’t originally intended to be an album at all, has slowly morphed into one, over a dozen or so separate sessions..with long breaks in between.

Just about everyone who frequents Toybox has contributed to/ played on this record at some point down the line, so it’s become a sort of sporadic snapshot of the last 18 months..as well as a labour of much love.

It looks like it’s going to go out on Manchester label Skinny Dog Records, run by Elbow mainman Guy Garvey who apparently loves this band to death.

New Swiss rock band '20 Box Stories' mixing with Ali

Fig from the Magicrays, has asked Ali to mix his new band’s record…it’s sounding pretty cool. Many hours listening to The Cure as a teenager have finally paid off.
